DJI AIR 3 FLEET & CAA CERTIFICATION
Operating the C1-category DJI Air 3 dual-camera system with high-level CAA commercial certifications, enabling legal close-proximity flights that other drone operators cannot perform.
CLEARANCE TO FLY WITHIN JUST 5 METRES OF THE PUBLIC
I hold the official UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) A2 Certificate of Competence (A2 CofC), alongside registered CAA Operator & Flyer IDs. Operating the C1-certified DJI Air 3 under this licence grants me the rare legal authorisation to fly within just 5 metres of uninvolved people in low-speed mode (and 30m in normal mode).
This exclusive clearance unlocks close-proximity architectural surveys, commercial filming, events, private estates, and residential properties where standard drone flights are strictly prohibited.
Dual Cameras
1/1.3-inch CMOS Wide (24mm, f/1.7) and Medium Telephoto (70mm, f/2.8). Captures matching 48MP RAW stills and 4K/60fps HDR with identical sensor colour science.
3x Telephoto
3x optical zoom produces powerful background compression. Isolate architectural details, track moving vehicles, and compress mountain horizons without flying too close.
Flight Time
Up to 2.3 hours (138 minutes) of airtime from a triple-battery hot-swap system: three batteries, two rapid swaps, up to 46 minutes each. Long shoots, golden-hour windows and multi-setup jobs stay uninterrupted. Omnidirectional APAS 5.0 obstacle sensing and O4 video transmission up to 20 km.
D-Log M
Supports 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG recording across both cameras, preserving 14 stops of dynamic range for seamless broadcast and commercial colour grading.
"From above, the chaotic textures of the landscape crystallise into pure geometric architecture."
